AmericasMart marked the start of its 60th-anniversary season at its January Atlanta market with a record-breaking new-buyer attendance increase. It was a vibe, which could be seen during the eight-day market in the 41,000-square foot Summer Classics showroom. “We’re continuing to see a trend where people want their outdoor spaces to be as comfortable as their indoor spaces,” says CEO Bew White. “There’s also a trend towards teak or wooden frames.”
Teak was definitely a hot item at Atlanta Market. “Haley and Avondale were two of our most popular products,” says Sales Representative Rob Robinson.
“My favorite line in the Summer Classics showroom is the Haley,” says StyleMaker Cynthia Rice of Seagrove Homes. “It’s traditional styling and great criss cross detailing makes it truly unique. It blends perfectly with the Croquet Teak tables and lounge chairs. I was so thrilled to finally get to sit on the dream cushion. It is amazingly comfortable, well cushioned and also has a waterproof liner which makes it an easy choice for my next order.”
“Products in the Essentials Collection were also very well received at Atlanta Market,” says Robinson. The Essentials Collection includes pieces from some of our best-selling collections, including Club in an oyster finish, Rustic in a slate gray, Croquet Aluminum in slate gray and Croquet teak in both natural and weathered. Cushions for these pieces can be selected in linen dove fabric and can be shipped in three weeks! Buyers also took advantage of many of the great specials this market offered.
In addition, the Atlanta Market showroom was well-accessorized to look authentic and natural in the space. One of the biggest trends we saw at the market is customization. Consumers want to express their personalities and lifestyles of their homes in their outdoor design. You could see that vividly in the Atlanta showroom––how well the pieces mix together so that individuals can show their style.
