Summer Classics Home Stores Raise Funds To Fight Childhood Cancer

In the month of September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, eight of our Summer Classics Home Stores located throughout the Southeast that sell Summer Classics luxury outdoor furnishings and Gabby high style indoor furniture, will donate a percentage of their sales to support the Hope for Autumn Foundation.

“As a company, Summer Classics Home has always strived to give back to the communities that we serve,” says Vice President of Retail Marianne Minogue. “We are thrilled to partner with Hope for Autumn in donating five percent of sales for the month of September in our retail stores to their organization. In addition, we are offering our customers free delivery and 30% off of their entire order for the month.”

“We are thankful to receive this donation from Summer Classics Home Stores and raise awareness for Hope for Autumn,” says Executive Director of Hope for Autumn Amanda Knerr. “This will help us with our mission of providing new hope and assistance for families battling childhood cancer, to support innovative research in childhood cancer therapies, and to increase community awareness of childhood cancer and cutting-edge treatment options.”

A family battling childhood cancer can lose up to 40 percent of their household income while caring for their child. And while 43 children today in the US will be diagnosed with cancer, and 15,700 this year, only four percent of federal cancer research funding is dedicated to childhood cancers as a whole.

Families need financial help, research needs funding and the public needs awareness. That’s why Summer Classics home is pleased to support this valuable organization to make a difference in the lives of these families.
