Customized outdoor rooms designed with relaxation in mind continue to grow in popularity for 2017, and that’s exactly what you’ll see when you visit the Summer Classics High Point Showroom April 21-26. The Summer Classics collection features clean lines with modern design and stylish details. Customers who are looking to reflect their own personality and lifestyle will find a mixture of materials that can be placed together for a unique eclectic look and feel.
“We use materials and finishes that can transcend collections,” says Summer Classics Founder and CEO Bew White, who remains hands-on with every new design that is produced. “This makes them easy to mix and match within a single line or several lines. We carefully choose resins and wood finishes to complement each other.”
Relaxed, Cabo-Cool Design
In keeping with the relaxed vibe, Creative Director Chris Hutchens was inspired by the famous resort city of Cabo San Lucas, particularly the easy, breezy laid-back vibe, when designing the Summer Classics High Point Showroom. “We’re distressing the wood floors and painting the shiplap on the walls white,” he says. “The showroom will have an overall backdrop of shades of whites and grays so that there’s a lot of depth that will serve as a great backdrop to showcase how eclectic our Summer Classics furniture can be.”
Hutchens designed the High Point Showroom to be one of great serenity. “We’re keeping the colors soothing with some power blues and soft corals,” he explains. “The overall feel is soothing. We want to reflect hip and style at the same time with the way that we’re adding some Gabby lighting to help complete that feeling.”
Mix of Materials and Luxury Living
Summer Classics continues to add collections and streamline finishes for mixing and matching to create individual style for each client. “We’re using all of our materials in the spring showroom––our teak and wicker–– to show how all of those elements and materials create one look,” says Hutchens.
Two teak favorites featured at the High Point Showroom are Haley and Avondale. The Haley Collection offers classical styling with lush cushions and sumptuous proportions. The simplicity of the X-back design allows Haley to mix easily with other teak pieces.
Our Avondale collection, pays homage to White’s early career as a textile sales representative with his family’s fabric business, Avondale Mills. The collection has a mid-century design in chamfered teak that showcases plush upholstery. New occasional tables in this group were designed to coordinate well with other Summer Classics collections to create a new innovative look.
The teak tables pair nicely with the wicker collection. Hand-crafted with our superior N-dura™ resin, the Rustic, Sedona and Halo collections each boast designs that will endure years and maintain their style. Each features deep-seating, plush cushions and a choice of finishes.
In addition, two of our collections featured at High Point, we showcase a mix of materials that can come together to create beautiful designs. The ever-popular Peninsula has a durable aluminum frame and is hand woven with Ndura™ resin wicker, providing high UV resistance and authentic look and feel. The Coast collection is constructed using teak frames and taupe batyline sling upholstery. The simplicity associated with modern designs along with stainless steel accents and mortise and tenon joinery make this a contemporary classic.
One of the most popular pieces in the daybed collection is our Cayman daybed. It features a king-size mattress, and comes in both Mahogany and Slate Grey finishes.
The Essentials Program
Summer Classics will continue its popular Essentials Program at High Point Market, which features several of our top sellers that ship to customers quickly. That program includes six frames in certain finishes with our extremely popular Linen Dove fabric that would be available to quick ship to our customers. The frames included in the program are Rustic in the slate gray, Croquet (aluminum) in the slate gray, Club (woven) in oyster, Astoria in oyster, Regent in oyster and Croquet (teak) in both the natural and natural finishes.
